The merino/silk blend is extraordinary, it feels incredibly luxurious and lightweight. Based on prior purchases of other top styles, I sized up 2 sizes to get a fit that I like. I understand that these tops are marketed as base layers and long underwear, but I do not like wearing skin-tight clothing. Going up 2 sizes, the top is still very fitted to my body, but not in a restricting way. I knocked off a star because (and I think this is true for all the tops) the tags are sewn right into the seam. So if you remove the tag by seam ripping it, you will also begin to unravel the side seam holding the shirt together. I discovered this after I had started the process, so I had to stitch up a small area of the shirt after removing the tag. I would prefer that the tags were sewn in a different way, so I could rip them out without having to compromise the garment. I will say that this material does feel quite delicate, and I don't know how well it will hold up over time. I will certainly treat it with care. I love the subtle frill detail on the cuffs and neckline. I found this top to be longer than necessary-- not as bad as the high neck top but I would prefer it a bit shorter.
